Terms and Conditions

Georgetown Community Theater Arts

A 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization


Effective Date: 02/23/2026


Welcome to Georgetown Community Theater Arts (“Organization,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing our website, purchasing tickets, making donations, registering for programs, volunteering, or participating in any activities, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.


1. About the Organization

Georgetown Community Theater Arts is a nonprofit organization recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Our mission is to support and develop young artists and strengthen the community through theater arts, creative expression, inclusion, and collaboration.


2. Acceptance of Terms

By using our website, attending performances, enrolling in programs, volunteering, or engaging with us in any capacity, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions and all applicable laws.

If you do not agree, please do not use our services.


3. Ticket Purchases and Event Attendance

3.1 Ticket Sales

  • All ticket sales are final unless otherwise stated.
  • Prices and availability are subject to change.
  • Lost or stolen tickets may not be replaced.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule events.

3.2 Refund Policy

  • Refunds are issued only in the event of cancellation by the Organization.
  • In the case of postponement, tickets may be honored for the new date.
  • Donations made in lieu of tickets are non-refundable.

3.3 Event Conduct

We are committed to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment. We reserve the right to remove any individual who:

  • Engages in disruptive behavior
  • Harasses participants, performers, or staff
  • Violates venue rules or safety policies

No refund will be issued in such cases.

4. Donations

  • All donations are voluntary and non-refundable.
  • Donations may be tax-deductible as allowed by law.
  • Donors will receive appropriate acknowledgment for tax purposes.
  • Restricted donations will be used in accordance with donor intent.

5. Youth Participation and Parental Consent

For minors participating in programs:

  • A parent or legal guardian must complete all required registration and consent forms.
  • Parents/guardians acknowledge inherent risks associated with rehearsals and performances.
  • The Organization reserves the right to remove a participant for behavioral or safety reasons.

6. Photography, Video, and Media Release

By attending events or participating in programs, you grant the Organization permission to use photographs or video recordings that may include your image for:

  • Marketing and promotional materials
  • Social media
  • Website content
  • Grant and fundraising materials

If you do not wish to be photographed, you must notify us in writing prior to the event.


7. Volunteers

Volunteers agree to:

  • Follow organizational policies and leadership direction
  • Maintain respectful and professional conduct
  • Protect confidential information

The Organization reserves the right to terminate volunteer service at any time.


8. Intellectual Property

All content produced by the Organization—including scripts (where applicable), logos, branding, website content, promotional materials, and educational curriculum—is the property of the Organization or used under license.

No content may be reproduced without written permission.


9. Website Use

Users agree not to:

  • Use the website for unlawful purposes
  • Attempt to disrupt website functionality
  • Submit false information

We reserve the right to restrict access for violations.


10. Assumption of Risk

Participation in theater activities involves certain inherent risks. By participating, individuals acknowledge and accept those risks.

The Organization is not liable for injuries, losses, or damages except as required by law.


11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Organization, its board members, officers, volunteers, and staff from claims arising out of:

  • Your participation
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your misconduct

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Organization shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation or website use.


13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of [Insert State], without regard to conflict of law principles.


14. Modifications

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted with a revised effective date.
